lemon cookies

There is something about the simplicity of a lemon cookie. Not too lemony and tart yet not too sweet....crisp on the edges but not in th middle and it needs to compliment a cup of coffee and or tea. it needs to be big enough to not need a second one ,but small enough to make you still feel ladylike after the whole afternoon cookie and coffee episode is  over! Good news..... I have perfected the recipe (I think)....cookies are so subjective!

Seasonal fruits

I love it when I get to bake with the very fruit I picked! There is something cool about the harvest season. I went blackberry and blueberry picking this week with a friend ....as we picked we talked about all that we would bake and  do with our buckets and buckets of fruit
......I love that kind of day!!

dueling kitchen aid's

I have always believed that less is more....except when it comes to side by side mixers. This gives double duty a whole new meaning! I can double a recipe side by side .....it's so fun!!

Boxes.boxes,boxes

For some reason a boxed dessert seems more special than a naked one. Even a bag doesn't do the trick! I love that feeling when I open a box and the smell of the confection billows out . It's almost like I have unveiled some masterpiece......I love that about boxes!

Just finished mixing up the batter of my now new fav choc recipe ........it's funny that I dream about chocolate these days.....
